Writing and Art Competitions

Green School Committe members hosted art and writing competitions recently. The themes were Local Water Actions for Global Change and The Mysterious Deep. Students’ entries reminded us of the importance of keeping our waterways clean, as well as the magical and mythical nature of the ocean.

Spring in Junior & Senior Infants

This month the Junior and Senior Infants are learning all about Spring. They are enjoying the Spring themed Aistear activities in our classroom Flower Shop and Farmer’s Market. We are excited to watch our cress seeds, which have sprouted, and are growing each day.

5th and 6th completed projects on Irish native mammals recently.

Spring sowing

All classes are involved in setting seeds at the moment. A pupa was also found in the polytunnel.

Pond dipping

5th and 6th class carried out a survey on a stream in our locality.
