Pancake Tuesday

All the Meenkilly pupils were treated to a pancake on this Shrove Tuesday. 1st and 2nd class made their own pancake mixture. They enjoyed measuring, cracking eggs and mixing the mixture.

Buddy Reading

Fifth and sixth class pupils buddied with pupils in first and second class for reading. They both shared in the experience of reading the same book together and discussing it. Tony Kenneally Visits Meenkilly N.S.

Cumann na mBunscol

Archaeologist Visits Meenkilly.

Meenkilly NS welcomes Francesca from Heritage Schools Ireland. Francesca had a workshop with all classes on artefacts and vikings and our past. She was very interesting and informative.The children really enjoying it 😀.Míle buíochas to Anna and Dónal O’Sullivan for sponsoring this workshop.

Halloween Meenkilly Style 🎃

Pupils at Meenkilly NS made a huge effort to dress up for the day of the Halloween break. From juniors to sixth class each pupil enjoyed a morning of great dancing. They danced the waltz, the jive, the Siege of Ennis and an Dreolín to name a few.

Walk to School Week

Pupils of Meenkilly National School were delighted to participate in a whole school walk today around the Caher Ring. The pupils enjoyed the chat with their partner and the Wild Atlantic Views. We also relished a few mindfulness moments by the flowing stream.
