Meenkilly National School were honoured today to have a very special visitor- Francis Foley – the Mayor of Limerick. He was very generous with his time and went to each classroom, answering all the pupil’s questions. Francis’s father went to school in Meenkilly in 1944, so he was delighted to see how the school has grown and progressed. He awarded all the pupils a night off homework. A presentation was made on behalf of all the pupils and staff in Meenkilly NS.
