As part of our journey towards achieving the Active Schools Flag, our students celebrated St Patrick’s Day in the most energetic and joyful way- with a Lá Glas. From traditional Irish folk dances to modern moves, children across all classes took part in a lively dance event that combined culture, creativity and physical activity. Over the weeks leading up to St Patrick’s Day students worked hard to learn a fun collection of dances, showcasing everything from céilí steps to modern pop routines.
the atmosphere was full of excitement, with music echoing through the school halls and smiles all around. It was a fantastic way to keep active while celebrating our Irish heritage and a reminder movement can be both meaningful and fun!
A big thank you to all the teachers and students who helped choreograph and organise the day – and to everyone who dances with such enthusiasm. Keep moving and stay active!
Paragraph

But the fun didn’t stop there! We also made great use of our Active Walkway, transporting it into a trail of Irish Riddles and challenges. Each stop along the walkway featured a fun riddle or brain teasers encouraging students to think, laugh and stay active as they moved around the school grounds. The whole school got involved and throughly enjoyed the challenge!
