On Friday, 21st March, the Meenkilly School community came together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by proudly wearing odd socks. It was a fun and meaningful way to show that our differences are something to be embraced and celebrated.
At Meenkilly, we believe that while we may all be different fish—we all swim together. Our school is built on kindness, inclusion, and acceptance. We support one another, value each other’s uniqueness, and make sure everyone feels like they belong.
The yard was full of colour, creativity, and smiles as students and staff showed off their wonderfully mismatched socks. It was a lovely reminder of the power of community and the beauty of being uniquely ourselves.
