Meenkilly National School held its much-loved annual water fight today, a highlight of the school year for pupils and staff alike. What began a few years ago as a fun addition to Active Schools Week has since become a beloved tradition that everyone looks forward to.
Armed with their own water guns, the pupils took to the school grounds for a day of splashes, laughter, and light-hearted competition. The school was well prepared, with plenty of water refill stations dotted around to keep the fun flowing.
The event is a perfect blend of physical activity and pure enjoyment, creating lasting memories for all involved. It’s no surprise that it has become the standout event of the year for many of the students — a time when smiles, teamwork and soaked clothes take centre stage.
